Community Guidelines

ChoreHero works because people trust it — Customers trust Heroes in their homes, and Heroes trust that they'll be treated fairly and paid. These guidelines keep that trust intact. They apply to everyone on ChoreHero.

Be Respectful

Treat everyone with respect. No harassment, threats, hate speech, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic. This applies to messages, video quotes, reviews, and in-person conduct.

Be Honest

Heroes: represent your services, experience, and rates accurately. Your video quotes and profile should reflect the real you and the real work you do. Don't impersonate anyone.

Customers: describe your jobs accurately so Heroes can quote fairly. Don't misrepresent the work to get a lower price.

Keep It On ChoreHero

All communication, booking, and payment happens on ChoreHero. Sharing phone numbers, payment-app handles, or links to move a transaction off-platform isn't allowed — it removes the protections (verification, payment holds, refund coverage, support) that keep everyone safe. It also violates our Terms of Service.

Safety First

Heroes: perform work safely and professionally. Don't enter a situation that feels unsafe.

Customers: provide a safe environment and accurate access information. Treat Heroes as the professionals they are.

If you ever feel unsafe, leave the situation and contact local emergency services first, then report it to ChoreHero.

Honest Reviews

Reviews must reflect genuine experiences. Don't post fake reviews, trade reviews, or pressure anyone for a rating. Don't use reviews to threaten or extort.

Protect Privacy

Don't share other people's private information — addresses, contact details, photos of someone's home or belongings — outside of what a booking requires. What you see in someone's home stays private.

No Misuse

Don't use ChoreHero for anything illegal, don't try to defraud or game the platform, and don't attempt to bypass our safety or fee systems.

What Happens If You Break These

Depending on severity, ChoreHero may remove content, issue a warning, suspend, or permanently remove an account. Serious violations — especially anything affecting someone's safety — result in immediate removal and may be reported to authorities.
